In 1721, the buildings were purchased by the noble Szembek family, who decided to merge them into a single property in 1730. In 1750, the renovated townhouse came into the possession of Natalia Morsztyn née Szembek, widow of Jan Morsztyn, the Castellan of Wiślica. The property became part of the Morsztyn family estate through Natalia’s marriage, as she was the daughter of Wojciech Piotr Szembek.
During the second half of the 19th century, when the property was owned by Countess Anastazja Sołtyk, the original wooden shingle roof was replaced with stone slate. Later, the townhouse once again passed into aristocratic hands, including those of Princess Maria Lubomirska of the Zamoyski family and Countess Cecylia Badeni of the Skrzyński family in 1894.
During the 1920s, the building served as a warehouse for American office equipment and housed the carpentry workshop of the company Jerry & Co.
In 2017, the property entered a new chapter in its history with the opening of a luxurious five-star hotel. In 2023, it joined Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and, as the first Wyndham Grand hotel in Poland, has become one of Kraków’s most recognizable luxury hospitality destinations.
